INTERMEDIATE ATTESTATION AS AN INTEGRAL COMPONENT OF MONITORING STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Abstract

The main direction of educational activity at the Bogomolets National Medical University is training at all levels of higher education (bachelor’s, master’s, educational, scientific, research) of highly qualified and competitive specialists in the national and international labor markets for scientific and educational institutions, government agencies, enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership, and the promotion of national, cultural and human values. The educational process is carried out taking into account the mechanisms and procedures recognized in the European Higher Education Area and recommended by the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System in compliance with the requirements of the Standards. The assessment of learning outcomes is based on the principles of objectivity, academic integrity, systematicity and consistency, planning, unity of requirements, openness, transparency, accessibility and clarity of the assessment methodology, and consideration of individual capabilities of students. Intermediate certification should determine the totality of student knowledge gained during all types of classes and independent work at the time of its implementation in the relevant discipline. The results of the intermediate certification are determined by the academic group teacher determining the current academic performance of the University students, attendance at classes and timeliness of thematic and module tests.
