USING AI AGENTS TO PREPARE FOR THE “GENERAL SKILLS” TEST

Abstract

The paper proposes the use of artificial intelligence agents to prepare for the “general skills” test, which is widely used in Western countries and has become widespread in Ukraine during competitive selection, professional interviews and recertification of employees of state and private institutions. The test is a mandatory element of the assessment of candidates for positions in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, judicial, customs and other law enforcement agencies. It is shown that the “general skills” test is one of the most difficult stages of the selection process, as it requires not only a high level of analytical, critical and logical thinking, but also effective time management. The test consists of three components: abstract-logical, verbal-logical and mathematical-logical thinking. Strict time limits are set for completing tasks without the possibility of redistributing time between sections: 20 minutes for 30 tasks of the abstract-logical test, 20 minutes for the mathematical-logical test, and 8 minutes for the verbal-logical test. On average, 40 seconds are allocated for one task, and only 16 seconds for the verbal-logical block. The feasibility of using AI agents for personalized preparation for the test is substantiated. The use of artificial intelligence is proposed for generating training tasks, analyzing typical errors, modeling real testing conditions, and forming an effective test-taking strategy. Special attention is paid to the development of time management skills and quick decision-making when performing tasks on mathematical logic, logical series, and non-standard tasks. The use of AI agents allows you to increase the efficiency of training and improve the results of passing the “general skills” test.
