The article presents the results of research aimed at finding and implementing effective and comfortable methods for transforming of lectures courses into a “teacher-student” format. Methods for optimizing online lectures in natural sciences based on a trauma-informed approach in the conditions of stressful war factors are analyzed. Based on a survey of students at the Bogomolets National Medical University, it was found that 89% of students prefer the distance form, but the forms and methods of presentation of educational material should be modified. The widespread introduction of online lectures has made learning more accessible and comfortable, but at the same time, it is regrettable to note a decrease in the level of motivation of students to attend classes in a synchronous format and conscientiously work through the educational material. Analysis of the obtained data showed that the increasing of student involvement level during a lecture is one of the key factors in increasing the effectiveness of mastering systemic scientific knowledge and the formation of subject and professional competencies. At the same time, the development of tools for assessing the level of student involvement and the means and methods of increasing it during online lectures is currently insufficient. The survey confirmed students’ demand for interactivity (72%), personalized feedback (77%), and visualization of complex processes in real time (60%). The factors influencing the decrease in motivation and concentration during online lectures were identified and analyzed. The authors justify the feasibility of the transition from a formal to an activity-based approach, which is ensured by the widespread implementation of interactive methods and techniques: surveys, game elements, discussions and debates. The structure of an online lecture focused on the transition from passive to active participation of students is justified, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by the educational achievements of future healthcare professionals. Distance learning classes reorganization that based on the principles of synergy of trauma-oriented and activity- based approaches is crucial for improving the quality of medical education in today’s crisis conditions. This approach strengthens communication between students and lecturers, improves memorization of material, and promotes for deeper knowledge assimilation. One of the applied aspects of the research was the development of methodological recommendations for organizing distance lecture courses in natural sciences and developing the teacher’s soft skills necessary for active learning during lectures.
