Abstract

In the 21st century, humanity is experiencing a period of globalization and technological changes that is fundamentally transforming the way we live, work, and interact. The increase in the level of anxiety, depression, and other psycho- emotional disorders is becoming an integral characteristic of modern society, which requires a detailed study of the relationship between globalization processes and the mental health of the population. The ongoing aging of the global population is one of the major demographic trends of our time. The increase in life expectancy leads to an increase in the proportion of elderly people, who are the most vulnerable group to the development of neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia. The incidence of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and other forms, is showing a steady increase, placing an increasing burden on health systems, social services and patients’ families. The disease places a huge emotional, physical and financial burden on their loved ones, who are often forced to take on the role of full-time caregivers.The modern pharmaceutical market is characterized by a wide, but still insufficient range of drugs for the treatment of dementia. he presented drugs, produced by various foreign and domestic manufacturers, are mainly aimed at the symptomatic treatment of cognitive impairments and behavioral disorders (e.g., antipsychotics, antidepressants). At the same time, the market is constantly influenced by fundamental and clinical scientific developments in neuroscience, legislative changes in healthcare and drug circulation, as well as social (awareness of dementia) and economic transformations (accessibility of treatment, government support programs).
