This paper addresses the design of an informatics textbook for students of higher medical education, aimed at aligning with the needs of Ukraine’s healthcare sector and the technological capabilities of the contemporary digital society. An interactive textbook with adaptive features is conceptualized as a digital resource capable of tailoring multimedia content to the individual needs and characteristics of students, taking into account their level of prior knowledge and preparation.Such a textbook may serve as a key instrument in the digital transformation of medical education, significantly enhancing opportunities for personalized learning and the development of individual educational trajectories.Materials and Methods: bibliosemantic analysis, generalization, synthesis; surveys, focus group discussions, and constructional design using the Kotobee Author software. The scientific research enabled the authors to systematize international practices in the development and implementation of adaptive electronic textbooks. An analysis was conducted of currently available tools for educators to create modern interactive textbooks that support multimedia content, facilitate adaptive learning, and can be integrated with learning management systems (LMS), particularly Moodle – the platform underpinning the LIKAR_NMU system (https://likar.nmu.kyiv.ua/). The advantages of Kotobee Author as a software solution for the creation of interactive electronic textbooks tailored to the needs of medical education are shown. Kotobee Author software is distinguished by its broad functional capabilities, including the ability to incorporate interactive elements (video, audio, 3D models, quizzes, etc.), tools for content development, interface customization, learning, and analytics. These distinctive features support the identification of Kotobee Author as an optimal tool for developing an interactive, adaptive textbook for informatics disciplines. The authors explore the peculiarities of content structuring, modes of presentation, and functional capabilities of an interactive adaptive textbook in the field of informatics. Conclusions: The interactive textbook developed with Kotobee Author, functioning both as a multifunctional adaptive learning tool and a subject for the exploration of digital applications, enables the implementation of a personalized approach to education at a qualitatively new level.
